Introduction

BATONROUGE sells wine, Champagne and malt whisky.

BATONROUGE specialises in wines from Languedoc-Roussillon, the dynamic region of Southern France that is the French 'New World'. BATONROUGE's specialist knowledge of Languedoc-Roussillon is invaluable for those wishing to include this region's wines on their list or in their cellar. It comes from cooperating closely with local producers, as well as understanding the terroir in which they work. One word is linked to wines from Languedoc-Roussillon - garrigue. This is the vegetation that is evident everywhere along the French Mediterranean coast. Growing near the vineyards, its greenery impregnates the local soil with powerful flavours and aromas - of thyme, rosemary, star anise, almonds, peppermint and olives - giving the wines unique qualities that are held in each bottle.

BATONROUGE sells Vintage, Non-Vintage, Blanc de Blanc and Rose Brut Champagne produced by Henri Mandois.

BATONROUGE's malt whiskies come from nine of Scotland's most interesting distilleries.

BATONROUGE has its London base in Islington. In France, BATONROUGE operates from Sainte Eulalie de Cernon, an exceptional Knights' Templar village located on the plateau that rises up from Languedoc-Roussillon. The village is full of medieval history and architecture, and surrounded by beautiful landscapes, gardens and fountains. It is 20 kilometres from the new Millau Viaduct that was designed by the British architect, Norman Foster. The contrast in the region between 12th and 21st century design is extraordinary. Everybody will want to visit both.
